Oh, where to start! I can't believe it's been 2 months since I last posted. Shame on me! Better late than never, right? And besides, last winter I went over 4 months without posting, so I'm actually making strides. My excuse? Same as last year. It's still Old Man Winter's fault - he makes me too cold to type. Even now I have a fleece blanket I'm huddled under, except for my wrists and fingers for ease in typing. I must also confess to you that I've taken a ridiculously scarce amount of pictures in the last 2 months and most of them are quite awful, artistically speaking. But it's now or never, people. Here is a random handful of things you've missed:

First things first. A great win for BYU against the Utes. Cade and I were a little nervous about the big game (Cade's expression says it all!) but we were victorious! YIPPEE!!!

We had the "privelege" and "pleasure" of getting out the snow gear for another "wonderful" winter season. The kids spent about 45 minutes getting ready to sled and about 20 minutes of actual sledding. What a "thrill".

This is how Rachel felt about being left out of the "fun". If this is your reaction, Rachel, then you really have no idea what you're missing.

December 10th - my birthday (I'm 35 years young!) I bought myself some cute winter clothes, apparently to channel my inner-teenager. I think this will have to become a b-day tradition.

My sister Suzanne gave me a "Snuggie" because she knows what a crybaby I am about the cold and thought it would help. It did.

Okay, on to Christmas! My friend Jodi gave me the idea for frosting and decorating sugar cones to look like Christmas trees. Genius, isn't it? We made them as part of our Christmas Eve festivities this year and set them out for Santa and his reindeer to eat. And they did.

The only other Christmas Eve tradition we had the presence of mind to photograph?

Adam tickled us death with his participation in the school Geography Bee. It is a competition for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Adam's in 4th grade and he got Second Place overall! We were so proud. Don't you love it when you're kids come out of nowhere and surprise you with their awesomeness! Apparently geography is one of Adam's "things". Definitely Cade's DNA at work on that one. Maps make me want to throw up.

Well, that about does it. It's good to be back! Two of my New Years resolutions are 1)take more/better pictures 2)be a better blogger. Keep your fingers crossed.
